Presently, follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE) are the only two surgical hair restoration options.
FUE is preferred for patients who may wish to cut their hair shorter as it results in no linear scar and can be less invasive. However, it is more  intensive and requires a high degree of skill.
It would be advice by doctor whether the FUE or FUT process would be ideal for you. You also can go with the combination of FUE and FUT with pro and cons but the doctor will suggest that in a better way.

Both FUE and FUT are highly effective hair transplant techniques used by doctors. If more follicles are needed than a FUT is necessary and if there is less hair loss then FUE Hair Transplant can be used to give full hair coverage. Bio-FUE is used where our own proteins is used to heal the donor site faster. Also it helps in faster hair growth giving thicker density.

Presently, follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE) are the only two surgical hair transplant options. Any other procedures by other names are simply variations of one of these methods.
The debate about FUE vs. FUT is quite a hot topic. The truth is that there is no single method that is best in all circumstances. In a nutshell, FUT offers the potential for larger session sizes, is less expensive per graft and generally results in higher yield.
FUE is preferred for patients who may wish to cut their hair shorter as it results in no linear scar and can be less invasive. However, it is more labor intensive and requires a high degree of skill.
