Minoxidil after surgery
Permalink

I had a FUE session on January 26/27.
Can I start to apply minoxidil on my scalp as soon as scabs have fallen?
I'd use minoxidil 2% on "recipient" and minoxidil 5% foam on "vertex/crown and mid", the first once a day, the second once or twice a day, in order to prevent shockloss.
Is it right?
Are there any problem in using minox (without propilenic glicole) on "recipient"?
Many thanks.

Your healing should almost be complete now if not all clean;  so applying minox should be no problem. Depending on the size of the op and the trauma to the skin  you may feel a little irritation or redness, if this occurs stop the application for a  few days.

Minox can help to prevent the effects of shockloss that can occur to the surrounding  hair. It increases the blood flow and nutrional support to the follicle and so help it to  sustain the growth.

Many thanks, Phil!
I'll start minox in a few days.

Since one week I've started application of Rogaine Foam even in the recipient (before minox 2% for 20 days and Foam in the crown).

NO there is no problem in starting with Minoxidil but it recommended to wait at least 3-4 weeks before starting the same. You can use Minoxidil 5%  overall without an issue. It will not only prevent shockloss but also help the new implanted hair to grow. No there isnt any problem. OK
