A poll of 1,500 men in Britain, Spain, Germany, France and Italy has revealed that British men are the most likely to worry about hair loss, but are also the least likely to take any action to address the problem.
The survey found that Britons and Germans were most likely to admit that their hair loss made them feel old, less attractive and insecure; however, while the Germans turn to hair loss treatments, British men are more likely to shave off what little hair they have left.
Dr Tim Mitchell of the Primary Care Dermatology Society said that a great deal more could be done now for men who are losing their hair than even a few years ago, and advised men suffering from hair loss to see their doctor or pharmacist early.
